We think this keyboard is an exceedingly clever and useful!

A standard keyboard does not help children make a good start with computers. There are too many keys, the letters are all in UPPER CASE which young children often don't recognise easily. It can make computer use unnecessarily difficult and frustrating for them.

This colour-coded keyboard is perfect. While the keyboard is a standard size the number of keys has been reduced so that the keys themselves are larger than usual making it much easier for small and sometimes less coordinated hands.

The keys are colour coded. All the consonants are green while the vowels are purple. Punctuation keys are yellow, numbers red and the computer function keys (eg arrow, spacebar, enter) are blue.

The keyboard retains the standard 'qwerty' layout which is very important for later keyboard/computer use progression.

We also have a white keyboard for older children and adults who would like the larger key size a simple layout but don't need or want the colour-coding.
