Nessy is a structured learning programme divided into ten sections represented by colour-coded and animated 'islands'. There are over 100 lessons and 1000 printable activities.

Nessy takes children right through their reading education
Island 1 starts at alphabet level (5 years, KS1). The Nessy islands advance incrementally through a hundred lessons to Island 10, advanced multi-syllable level (16 yrs, KS4).

Nessy is a huge resource bank of 120 lessons and 1500 printable pages. Navigating between sections has been kept simple by using only two main screens and giving the 10 learning stages a visual reference as colour-coded islands.

Age range
The programme is designed primarily for students from the age of 5 – 16 years.
However, the programme has been used with preschoolers and adults. If the programme mentor presents the information sensitively, the programme can be used through all age groups.

Students who will benefit from programme
Nessy has been developed for dyslexics. However, the programme has been used effectively as a whole class teaching resource as the motivational games, combined with a solid phonic based learning structure, will be successful with most students.

Just to put the cost into context for you. In our experience a dyslexia tutor costs between £20 and £40 an hour and you will need to do a lot of work yourself anyway as the nature of dyslexia means that 10 - 20 mins of practice every day is vital to success.
