This is the only program that introduces keys alphabetically. This unique approach makes learning the key positions incredibly quick and easy.

There are 9 games to practise your typing, all set in the animated Land of Ness. In the Dungeon of Doom battle dragons, skeletons and ghosts. On Monkey Island play penalty shootout with Burt the boss gorilla. At Penguin Mountains roll giant snowballs. Enter an underwater swimming race in the Nessy Time Trial and much more. As you progress you collect awards in the Hall of Fame and unlock new characters.
 
There are a wide range of levels so even those with almost no knowledge of key positions can complete games and succeed. The difficulty of games is automatically set by your own best result but you can manually make it easier or harder by just dragging a slider. As you would expect, there are a wide range of options to change settings.

Not JUST a Typing Tutor:
One of the reasons we like it so much is that Nessy Fingers is so much more than just a typing tutor as it strongly reinforces and improves spelling and punctuation. Instead of nonsense words, typing practise uses a very comprehensive list of key words linked to the national curriculum. You can even create your own word lists and use the games to learn homework spellings.

A program that helps dyslexics

The educational advisory charity Ability Net, have identified development of keyboard skills as being especially important for children with specific learning difficulties (dyslexia), those who have difficulties with handwriting, co-ordination or dyspraxia. Nessy Fingers has been designed with the help of specialist tutors at the Bristol Dyslexia Centre.
